Dr. Gary S. Brierley, P.E.
– President (Littleton,
CO Office) Dr.
Brierley has more than 40 years of experience working with major
underground projects, he is considered an industry expert in tunnel design
and construction, geotechnical reports for underground construction, and
risk management in the heavy civil construction industry.
Dr. Arthur "AJ" McGinn, P.E.
– CEO (Syracuse,
NY Office) Dr.
McGinn has more than 15 years of experience and is widely respected as an
expert in the areas of numerical ground modeling, particularly in
connection with ground modification methods such as soil mixing and jet
grouting. Mr.
Sherry has over 30 years of experience in design and construction of civil
engineering projects including dams, water projects, tunnels,
transportation projects, railways, pipelines, and canals. He is a
specialist in underground engineering, and groundwater hydrology.
Steven Kuehr, P.E. – COO (Denver,
CO Office) Mr.
Kuehr has over 30 years of geotechnical engineering. He specializes in
geotechnical engineering as it relates to water supply, sewerage, water
resources, commercial, industrial, highway, bridge, and land development
projects. He has technical
expertise in foundation engineering, slope stability, expansive soils,
ground modification, retaining walls, landslide evaluation and repair,
embankment dam design and groundwater collection trenches and cutoffs
constructed by the slurry trench method. Mr.
Howard has more than 24 years of experience, and specializes in tunneling,
geotechnical investigations, hydrogeology, geohazard evaluations, rock
mechanics and aggregate mine zoning and permitting.
Dr. Eric Lindquist, P.E. –
Director of Engineering (Moraga,
CA Office) Dr.
Lindquist has 16 years experience in the design of heavy construction
facilities for owners, engineers, and contractors, with an emphasis on
underground structures. He specializes in the geotechnical engineering,
rock mechanics, designs involving excavation shoring, slope repairs,
tunnels, shafts, trestles, retaining walls, cofferdams, shallow and deep
foundations, and pipelines. He
can design a variety of primary supports for tunnels and shafts, including
steel ribs, liner plates, jet grout, rock bolts, and shotcrete.
Dr. Russell "Russ" Jernigan,
P.E., P.G. - Texas Senior Project Manager (Round Rock, TX Office)
Dr. Jernigan has more than 27
years of experience in soil and rock mechanics, tunnel design, dam design
and hydroelectric matters.
Mr. Zietlow has worked in
geotechnical engineering for 14 years and specializes in design of earth
support systems for tunnels, shafts, road cuts, and temporary excavations
such as soil nail, tieback, sheet pile, soldier pile, and micropile walls.
He has also designed deep foundations and landslide stabilizations.
He primarily provides design
services for specialty contractors on design-build projects but has also
provided geotechnical designs for public and private owners, primarily on
transportation and utility works.
Todd Kilduff, P.E. – Senior
Project Manager (Hoboken, NJ and
Denver, CO Office)
Mr. Kilduff has over 15 years of
experience specializing in underground design and construction with a
strong emphasis on Tunneling and Trenchless Technologies.
His project experience has led him to develop extensive knowledge
on the design of small and large diameter tunnels, temporary excavation
support systems, seepage and groundwater analysis, slope stability
analysis, ground improvement techniques, foundation design and the
implementation of geotechnical instrumentation for performance monitoring.
These skill sets have been applied to several projects related to
the construction of tunnels, utilities, wastewater treatment plant
facilities, earth dam projects, building construction and transportation
projects.
Robin Dornfest, P.G., C.P.G. – Senior Project Manager (Fort Collins, CO Office)
Mr. Dornfest has over 10 years
of experience in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, geologic
mapping, slope stability, expansive soils, ground modification, earth
retention systems, landslide and rock fall evaluation and mitigation,
embankment dam design, and groundwater control systems including slurry
walls and dewatering well systems. In addition, Mr. Dornfest has provided
third party review services to several municipalities, provided
environmental services, served as an expert witness, and regularly
provides value engineering to numerous client and project types.
Phillip "Phil" Burgmeier, P.E. - Senior Engineer (Syracuse,
NY Office)
Jay Perkins, P.E.
–
Senior Project Manager (Boston,
MA Office)
Mr. Perkins has more than 20
years experience as a geotechnical engineer specializing in the management
of geotechnical and multi-disciplined projects at the local, national and
international levels. This management experience includes
coordinating the various civil engineering disciplines to complete the
necessary deliverables and contract documents for bidding within a given
budget. Technical experience encompasses supervising
geotechnical investigations and instrumentation programs, providing design
recommendation of commercial and industrial buildings, earth embankment
dams and slopes, landfills, cutoff walls, wastewater treatment facilities,
horizontal construction; and the application of geosynthetic materials. Mr. Wiedemann has 28 years of design-build experience in highway, civil and commercial building construction and rehabilitation. He has managed multiple ongoing projects for Regional and National firms across the U.S. His project experience includes marketing, specification writing, bidding and estimating, design and engineering analysis, safety planning, training and assurance, and construction quality assurance.
Nate Soule, P.E., P.G. – Senior Engineer (Denver,
CO Office)
Mr. Soule has 7 years of experience in a variety of tunneling, geotechnical, and geological engineering projects. His focus is primarily on tunneling and trenchless engineering and is also involved with more traditional geotechnical projects. Additional areas of experience include cementatious grouting and support for hard-rock aggregate quarries.
Nick Stater, P.G. – Senior Engineering Geologist (Bedford, NH Office)
Mr. Strater has over 16 years of
engineering geology and geotechnical consulting experience. His
specialties include rock and soil tunnels, horizontal directional
drilling, rock slope design and remediation, rock blasting, and forensic
geology.
David Berti, P.E., S.E. –
Senior Consultant (Moraga,
CA Office) For the
past 29 years, Mr. Berti has been an engineering consultant to owners,
contractors, and engineers for the design of heavy construction
facilities. His design experience includes tunnels, shafts, land and
marine cofferdams, pipe jacking and microtunneling, subway construction,
caissons, retaining walls, open excavations, powerhouses, temporary dams,
equipment trestles, temporary railroad and highway bridges, permanent
bridge foundations, temporary bridge shoring supports, concrete falsework,
work platforms, rigging, pipelines (hydraulic and structural), temporary
excavation shoring, permanent slope repair, and demolition of various
structures. Prior to becoming a consulting engineer, Mr. Berti was a
project and field engineer and survey party chief for two heavy
construction contractors building the subway system in Washington, D.C. He
is a registered Civil Engineer in numerous states and a registered
Structural Engineer in California.
Brian C. Dorwart, P.E., P.G. –
Senior Consultant (Bedford,
NH Office) Mr.
Dorwart has more than 30 years experience in heavy civil projects and
specializes in horizontal directional drilling projects.
He has a wide range of project experience with underground
utilities and transportation tunnels and drills, slope assessment and
remediation, storm water system design, shoreline stabilization, and the
interaction of subsurface conditions on construction activities. In
addition, Mr. Dorwart has served as technical expert to contractors and
owners for claim negotiation and remediation.
Dr. Ray Henn, P.G. – Senior
Consultant (Denver,
CO Office) Mr. Henn
has more than 40 years of heavy and underground construction experience
with a concentration in shafts and tunneling, hydroelectric, water and
wastewater, and transportation projects on projects ranging in value from
$2M to $1B. He is considered
an expert in Grouting Techniques.
Mr. Henn is responsible for tunnel and underground engineering,
contractor support and construction management services.
Additionally, Mr. Henn has served on 29 Dispute Review Boards and
as an Arbitrator on construction cases.
Tracy Lyman, P.E., P.G. –
Senior Consultant (Denver,
CO Office) Mr.
Lyman has over 35 years of progressive experience in geological and
geotechnical engineering specializing in rock and soil engineering and
hydrogeology. He has applied
this expertise to a variety of tunneling, water and wastewater
infrastructure, trenchless technology, highway and bridge, mass transit,
water development, hydroelectric, power, mining, and industrial waste
management and remediation projects throughout the United States and
abroad.
Bruce Weber, P.E. – Senior Consultant (Elkhorn,
WI Office) Mr.
Weber has 40 years of consulting experience in the geo-environmental
field. He has managed engineering, exploratory drilling and construction
materials testing operations for Regional and National firms. His project
experience includes planning and implementation of investigation programs,
engineering analyses and design and quality assurance testing. In
addition, Mr. Weber has forensic experience on a variety of issues,
including differing site conditions.
Lewis Yates, P.E. – Senior
Consultant (Austin, Texas
Office) Mr.
Yates has over 36 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
During his career, he completed thousands of engineering
assignments involving all aspects of geotechnical engineering throughout
Texas. He served as principal
investigator on the following projects involving Earth and Concrete Dams,
Machine Drilled Tunnels and Open Cut Excavations, Bridges, and Water and
Wastewater Treatment Facilities.
Mr. Yates has also served as an expert witness for a variety of
cases.
Rebecca "Becky" Brock, P.E. –
Senior Engineer (Denver,
CO Office) Ms.
Brock has over 10 years of experience conducting geotechnical and geologic
evaluations for slope stability, retaining walls, shallow and deep
foundations, roadways, and pipelines. Ms. Brock can perform project
administration and management tasks, provides supervision of staff-level
engineers and geologists, reviews laboratory results, project plans, and
specifications.
